Resources for your Small Business

No one wants to spend an hour talking about themselves.

Oh what we hear from the mouths of babes, lol! I’ll keep confidential which one of mine said this exact gem, but I couldn’t help but think it was a valid observation.

Over the years, I've heard lots of objections to choosing a 1:1 session. Time, money, uncertainty, shifting priorities, etc. I’ve used all these reasons myself and more! And that's why I want to create tools that support you wherever you are on your journey of entrepreneurship. Using my signature blend of Woo & Work, these resources are designed to be:

  • Self-paced. If the idea of making another time commitment is too stressful, then these workbooks are perfect for you. You can take ownership of your schedule, choosing when and for how long you will work through them.

  • Affordable. I know it’s hard to justify spending money when you are first starting a business. These tools are each less than a $25 investment. In fact, you can buy all three for under $50, less than an impromtu Target run.

  • Accessible. It can be overwhelming to consider all that goes into starting a new business. These guides are easy to implement, breaking things down into bite-size elements, so you can integrate at your own pace.

  • Actionable. Sometimes the smallest steps can create the biggest momentum. If you’ve been dreaming about doing your own thing, taking inspired action is a critical piece of the manifestation puzzle. Just get started!

Whether it be getting more clarity on your what, who, why & how, activating your creative genius inside or learning to work with more ease and alignment, I hope you’ll take advantage of these empowering opportunities to start creating the small business of your dreams.

And if you want a fun, quick and insightful way to help you better know your Entrepreneur Energy Type, take my new quiz. You’ll get helpful strategy tips no matter where you fall on the Woo to Work scale!

Self-love Practices

Hey Dear,

I’ve been noticing from so many clients and friends recently, the conditioning they are placing around receiving love. Do these resonate with you too?

❤️‍ I have to say yes, even when I’d rather say no
❤️‍ I can’t ask for help, even though I need it
❤️‍ I did this to myself/It’s my own fault
❤️‍ It’s not good enough/I’m not good enough

What we are really saying when we accept these statements as truth, is that love is an exchange. It requires sacrifice, suffering and perfection. It is to be earned through worthiness, not an essential right.

My wish for you, today and always, is that you feel love for yourself. A love so perfect, so true, so complete, that settling for anything less than what you deserve (from yourself and others) is simply unacceptable.

And in this integrity and fullness of your self-love, you see all that you have to offer, trust all that you can do, know all the light that flows through you. And so you must let it. And you allow yourself to shine brightly and boldly.

As a special Valentine’s Day treat, I’m gifting you a first-time ever discount on my three most popular offerings: Entrepreneur Energy Assessment & Activated 2022 Planning Package, Empowered Alchemy Session and Intro Human Design Reading. Time Saving + Money Making: Increase your Entrepreneur Energy Flow

Hello Love,

I don’t have enough time. Imagine if you had a dollar for every time you said or thought that. But, I bet you are spending a lot of time working on things and not getting the most use out of them. If you are ready to make your time work better for you, read on:

Expand the use of your content. In some way or another, we are all content creators. Whether it be social media, presentations, blogs, podcasts, etc, we are in constant creator mode. So I hope that you are using that incredible content in more than one place. Take that post and turn it into an email or blog. Take the presentation and reformat it into individual worksheets. Pull the transcripts from your podcasts to make social media posts. Remember, it takes an average of 7 impressions before people have recognition and recall, so don’t worry about over-saturating your audience.

Mine your day for lessons. Each pandemic day can feel like a week amiright? Usually our own experiences provide the best foundation for offering guidance to others, so use these endless days to review and reflect. Think about what interesting conversation popped up in a client session or what challenge with your kid or coworker created valuable insight. Then take your lessons and turn them into content, offerings, and wisdom to share.

Let it go. While this might be a no-brainer in theory, putting this into practice takes more discipline. If you want more time, stop worrying about perfection on something that, in truth, will have a very short shelf life. No one is examining your things with the same critical eye you will. So while you always want to put your best self forward, set a realistic, but tight time limit and move on.

Maximize your sales reach. With so many creative opportunities for income, this is an area where time most definitely equals money. Take each product (digital or physical) and brainstorm where else it can be sold. Can you tweak an offering and create an Etsy listing, find a local business looking to share commission, become an affiliate for products you already know and love? Expanding your idea of sales channels is a major time hack.

Systematize. Anything that you find yourself doing and/or saying over and over, can benefit from a system. If you repeat the same procedure to new clients, turn it into a welcome document or video. Make an FAQ section of your website and direct people to it. Even frequent email requests can be turned into time-savings. By creating your top 5 responses once, you can simply cut and paste into the email accordingly, adding a quick personalization at the top and bottom.

Evergreen/Passive income. If you are trading time for money, then exploring passive income is definitely a hack to explore. When you develop evergreen offerings, you create once and earn over and over. Take some time making a thorough list of all your skills, qualifications and talents. What do you know how to do that could be turned into a worksheet, course or masterclass? It doesn’t need to be a huge or overwhelming undertaking, rather a simple and even inexpensive offering could have major payoffs.

Ready to implement some of the ideas above? Let’s schedule a session so I can guide you on customizing these time-saving strategies for your business. I love helping people find energetic alignment and ease in their entrepreneurial journeys. Book a 1:1 Open to Alchemy session and we will work together on accessing into your inspired entrepreneur energy. How do you Overcome Doubt?

Hello Love,

Doubt has been coming up a lot lately, both for my clients and for me. It can be frustrating and overwhelming to feel stuck or unsure, looping around a question again and again. We want to move forward with an opportunity or decision, choosing the “right” answer, but it can seem like that clarity might never come.

If you find yourself in a place of doubt, here are some things to try:

💫 Explore a different perspective or vantage point. Perhaps you need to dig deeper to pull back another layer or zoom out to a bird’s eye view in order to see things more clearly.
💫 Set down the issue at hand, giving yourself some more time and space. Try an hour, day or even week without focusing on it to see what new information comes in.
💫 Lean into your embodied response. Pay attention to what you feel in your body and where, knowing that excitement, anxiety, anticipation and doubt can all feel similar, taking awareness to discern.
💫 Talk it out to gain some more clarity and confidence. Ask a trusted friend or unbiased colleague to be your sounding board, setting the parameters for how much input you want to allow.
💫 Make friends with your doubt. Remember that your ego provides doubt to keep you safe, so sending it some love and gratitude can help you move through the doubt with less resistance.

We all experience times of uncertainty or lack of clarity. And as disheartening as it can be, it’s an integral part of the process of discovering what feels most aligned. Trusting too, that there is no wrong answer, rather just many ways to get to the next part of your journey.

Need help getting to what’s most aligned for you? That's my jam! I tap into so many incredible healing modalities to help guide you back to your authentic self. Each session is highly personalized and actionable so you get the ideal combination of woo and work.

How to be Creative without Criticism

Hello Love,

Are you your own worst critic? One of the things I see way too often, is clients stopping the flow of creativity and co-creation, not allowing source inspiration to flow. We judge ideas before pen even hits paper, thinking our ideas, offerings, content or plans:

❎ Aren't good enough or "right"
❎ Aren't practical or feasible
❎ Aren't unique or new

So what can you do to create without criticism? Here’s some tips to help you open the tap to all your creative vibes and let your imagination flow.

Write everything down: I’ve talked about the benefits of this before, but doing an idea dump opens up your creativity in the most amazing way. You can use it to brainstorm for any type of project. I love using idea bubbles, list-making and other visual strategies.

Release all expectations and judgement: Switching your mindset to one of hype and hopefulness versus negativity and naysaying can lead to huge growth in your creative spirit. Try to focus on how exciting the process of creating feels, not just the results.

Work in an environment that feels good: Of course it can be harder to brainstorm when you are overloaded with laundry or trapped under fluorescent lights. If you are struggling to connect with your creative side, mix it up and put yourself in a place that feels inspiring!

Find a creative community: They say you are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. If you’ve lost that creative buzz, perhaps it’s time you cultivate some new relationships with friends, colleagues and fellow makers that value and prioritize creativity as much as you do.

Need help aligning with your creative side? I LOVE helping clients brainstorm offerings, workshop an idea and hone in on content strategies. Book a 1:1 Open to Alchemy session and we will work together on tapping into your inspired entrepreneur energy.

Human Design Mantras for Entrepreneur Ease

Hey Love!

Why is it SO hard?? I hear that question often and have said it myself many times. But like many of you, I am firmly saying NO to the struggle-mentality. If one of your intentions for this new year is to find more ease in your entrepreneurial journey (and life in general), then check out these mantras below, based on your Human Design type.*

As a Generator:
I allow myself to use my incredible energy mindfully. I prioritize what I find exciting and important. I examine other’s requests carefully before saying yes.

As a Manifesting Generator:
I allow myself to pivot as my passion for new things energizes me. I gracefully release old ideas and identities. I let go of judgment from myself and others.

As a Projector:
I allow myself to get completely absorbed in things I find fascinating. I share my valuable insights with those who want them. I honor that I can’t guide everyone.

As a Manifestor:
I allow myself to be driven to action by my intuitive urges. I share my intentions with others. I understand that my role is to get things started, not to be immersed long-term.

As a Reflector:
I allow myself time to experience all variations and possibilities. I frequently assess the most aligned environment and community for my well-being and the well-being of others.

So, when will things get easier? When we stop equating success with struggle. When we stop pushing and start allowing. When we leave the hustle and grind behind and decide to go with our natural flow.

Shifting to a mindset of ease, can make all the difference in your entrepreneur energy. If you want to dive in more to the energy of alignment, abundance and soul-purpose, reach out to grab one of my remaining Entrepreneur Energy Assessment & Activated 2022 Planning packages. It's the ultimate Part Woo - Part Work package to help any current or aspiring small business owner start the new year with the clarity, confidence and cohesive plan you need.

Why you Can't Focus...and what to do about it.

Hello!

2022 is here and so far, the promise of a new year and new start hasn’t exactly come true. TBH, for many of us, it might feel just like 2021 and 2020. With everything going on right now, it's no wonder that our ability to focus is being seriously diminished.

So what's an aspiring entrepreneur to do? Read below for some common challenges to determine which ones are behind your lack of focus. And then try the suggested solutions to see which resonate most with you.

Too Many Distractions: Lots of us have a real deal addiction to all the things: email notifications, news alerts, social media scrolls.

  • If you want to stop feeling like a mental pinball: silence alerts, put time limits on apps and go tech-free for at least an hour a day. At first this might feel very hard, but within a few days you will notice an amazing improvement in your ability to focus.

Empathic Overload: If you are a highly sensitive soul, the last two years have felt like the longest endurance run ever, amiright?

  • If you want to stop taking on everyone else's emotions, it's time for some serious boundary creation and daily energy protection, even if that means changing your relationships with friends and family. By being more aware and intentional with your emo-capacity, you will find more ease and peace.

Stress, Anxiety, Overwhelm: We can probably all agree that the world is banana pants right now. Adding the January hype can bring pressure to an all-time high.

  • If you want to get a handle on the constant overwhelm, take everything off your list that isn't urgent, prioritize quiet walks in nature & try daily meditation or journaling. Yep, I'm saying it again: Self-care is not selfish, it's essential. Do what you have to do to take care of you.

You have ALL the Ideas: The new year might give you a super-boost of creativity, but without all the clarity and organization you need to take action.

  • If you want to harness the idea avalanche, do a daily brain dump, categorize your ideas and then start prioritizing based on what is easiest to accomplish or feels most exciting to tackle. Not every idea needs to turn into something actionable, but using these tips will help keep them flowing without being overwhelmed.

I know it seems extra hard right now, but we've got this. One moment at a time you can get back to your focused self.

If you need some 1:1 help, reach out to grab one of my remaining Entrepreneur Energy Assessment & Activated 2022 Planning packages. It's the ultimate Part Woo - Part Work package to help any current or aspiring small business owner start the new year with the clarity, confidence and cohesive plan you need, but without all the hustle and grind.

How to Determine if your Small Business Idea is Viable

Hey Love,

Have you been thinking about starting a new business, but aren't sure if your idea is the "right one"? Congrats! You are in the exact place you need to be!

Here are three questions to ask yourself so you can start your business journey strong:

Does it provide a solution to a problem that needs solving?

Your business has to fill a need or want enough to get people to spend money on it. Make sure you get clear on the challenges your perspective clients are experiencing so you can feel confident addressing them.

Can you reach your target client or customer with relative ease?
Understanding who your ideal clients are and how to reach them is crucial, while keeping your budget, time and energy resources in mind. This will help you meet your audience with the right message, at the right place along their journey.

Are you truly excited by the idea?
Passion is the #1 thing to keep you going through the ups and downs. If you are only lukewarm about your idea or offering, continue exploring other possibilities until you find one that consistently lights you up.

Not sure how to answer these questions? Just ask me! I can help you get clarity at any part of the process. And don't worry if your answer(s) end up being NO; that's all part of the process in launching a new venture. Every aspiring entrepreneur will learn to pivot, change, retool many, many times on the way to success. Remember there is no failure, it's all just information to get you closer to your goals. And while the entrepreneur journey is not always easy, it is soul-fulfilling in a way that's hard to even put into words.

If you are feeling inspired to create a business that combines your passion and purpose, feels aligned and impactful, then check out my new offer, booking now for January sessions only. The Entrepreneur Energy Assessment + Activated 2022 Planning Session is the ultimate Part Woo - Part Work package to help any current or aspiring small business owner start the new year with the clarity, confidence and cohesive plan they need, but without all the hustle and grind.

When you Have so Many Ideas: Multi-passionate Productivity Hacks

Hi Dear!

So many ideas, such little time. Such is the life of a multi-passionate. I like to call us energy hummingbirds because we get so excited by so many different things, it can feel like we are speed buzzing from one idea to another.

And while that energy is super powerful, it can also leave us exhausted and overwhelmed from spinning our wheels. So if your motto is More is More, consider these tips to help harness your multi-prong passion into a more productive superpower:

Brain Dump: There is nothing worse than feeling scattered, trying to make sense and keep track of all your ideas in your head. The seemingly obvious (but not always followed) solution - write them all down. For those sudden a-ha's, keep a notes file on your phone or use a voice-to-text memo. To keep things more manageable, try scheduling a daily or weekly timeslot to unload all those creative bits and pieces. Maybe they are amazing offerings, content pillars or future projects, but it won’t be clear if they stay in your head.

Categorize, Strategize, Simplify: Once your ideas are on paper, you will start to see how they can go together. Look for the overarching themes and put alike things in common buckets. Next, see where pieces can be used in a sales funnel or how a client could naturally follow a path from one topic or offering to another. This is the place to sideline anything that seems too complicated, requires a separate system or pulls your core messages in a different direction.

Get Client Focused: It's more than okay to have multiple revenue streams, it's actually beneficial. In fact, the average millionaire has 7 revenue streams! So while you can offer lots of things, they need a common theme and focus so it’s clear to your audience what you do, who you serve and what your mission is. Remember to embody your target client. People need to file you away in their mental rolodex with a specific theme/need they associate you with.

Remember, the point of all this isn't to hinder your creative process, but to practice techniques that allow you to make the most of it! Your work is more than just work; it’s how you express yourself, how you are meant toshine your light. And your seamingly disparate ideas, can often come together in the most magical of ways.

If you are an aspiring solopreneurs,I'd love to work together to help you activate your creative spark. And I've created the perfect first action step for you. Getting Started: The Clarity Workbookis an incredible tool in helping you get the clarity you need on the what, why, who and how of your potential start-up. It’savailable nowat the intro price of just $11! Or pair with a 1:1Empowered Alchemysession for an epic transformation. Determine your USP (unique selling proposition) and Finding your Value

“There are no new ideas. There are only new ways of making them felt. “
Audre Lorde

If you are wondering if what you have to offer is special, look around at the thousands of doctors and lawyers (no offense, love you all!). Do you think they question whether what they offer is unique? They have found something they enjoy and are good at, knowing that since they are unique individuals, they will have distinct practices, attract a specific group of clients/patients and create their own brand.

By doing some deep self-exploration, you can begin to better understand yourunique positioning. Here are some writing exercises to help you tap into the value of your story:

  • Start with a list of all the work-related things you’ve done: job experience, classes, certifications, freelance projects, etc.

  • Now expand that list to all your out-of-office accomplishments: volunteering, major home-life endeavors, all-star help you’ve given friends, family, colleagues.

  • Write down any challenges you’ve experienced, life transitions or other obstacles you’ve overcome.

  • Think about limiting beliefs and/or fears that used to hold you back and blocks you’ve moved past, exploring what helped enable that massive changes.

  • When you think about all that you’ve experienced, which stand out as the most transformative or make you feel the most proud and confident?

As I’m sure you will quickly see, no one else has your unique magic formula of innate talents, interests and life experience. You aren’t exactly like anyone else and you don’t need to follow any pre-laid path.Your voice matters. We need your new take on the problem you are trying to solve.

Remember, for you, work is more than work; it’s how you express yourself, how you are meant to shine your light. I also know it can be overwhelming to start a new business, side hustle or passion project. And that’s why I created a new guide, specifically foraspiring solopreneurs.Getting Started: The Clarity Workbookis an incredible tool in helping you get the clarity you need on the what, why, who and how of your potential start-up, so you can keep moving towards the worklife of your dreams.
